Happy Easter

We had a really nice Easter!  Mason and Ellorie found their baskets before anyone was up.  Mason was VERY in to the contents (especially his new yoyo) and wouldn't pose for a picture, but Ellorie humored me:

Averie was half asleep when Mason pulled her out of the crib.  Upon finding her basket, she grabbed an egg, stone faced, and proceeded to eat ALL of her candy.  (After putting on her new sunglasses of course.  She was hilarious.
The sugar did eventually kick in.  She was bouncing off the walls all day.  After church she was totally out of candy and started looking for other options.  She ate most of Ellorie's chocolate before Ellie became wise and put her basket up high.  Apparently candy is a pretty good motivation:
Little stinker.

And we actually got a family picture today.  I know, miracles can happen.  I think it actually turned out pretty well, considering...  We were even on time for church.

We had a very nice, peaceful, beautiful Easter Sunday.  We hope each of you did too!

what a great fam picture, except we really need to get brandon to at least crack a smile in a picture!! lol. did you use the timer on your camera to get the pic? we had a nice sunday as well except that we returned home to eat our delicious roast and veggies to find it all basically charcoal!! i have never cooked a roast in the oven and the recipe told me to cook for 3 1/2 hrs--i guess that was a bit off! haha.

Averie is so cute!! Very clever - climbing in the drawers. Our kids pretty much cleaned out all their candy too. The only thing left is the big chocolate easter bunny that I put away before they could get all that down too.

What a great family photo! I love it! It is amazing how Averie is changing and growing up, she looks more like a little girl now instead of a baby! She cracks me up trying to get Ellories basket!

Averie has already learned that not much can stand in the way of a girl needed candy! Good for her! :)
