Rylan Rolls, Baby Plants, the big 500 and a giveaway

Rylan has become quite adept at rolling from his tummy to his back.

He sometimes gets frustrated if his hands are underneath him and it takes him a few minutes to figure it out.

Just check out that look of determination on his cute little face.

And ....

... he's over!

Yay Rylan! What a pro.

And speaking of cute little babies, my little baby seeds decided to emerge from the soil while we were visiting my mom.

Seeing those tiny seeds burst into actual green, growing plants always amazes me. Aren't they cute?

And on a completely unrelated note, this is my 500th post on this blog! 500 posts in 31 months, nearly 3 years, 94 little words that make me smile (on the side bar there), numerous backgrounds, and a whole lot of time. Wow. I think I'm going to have a giveaway to commemorate this moment.

Just leave me a comment telling me about your favorite post, and I'll enter your name to win... Something. Hmm...

How about some really nice handmade soaps and some bath salts? I'll send the winner 3 bars of cold-process soap in the scents of his/her choice, and a jar of lavender oatmeal bath salts. And if you don't want them for yourself, they would make an excellent Mother's Day gift.

I'm making more soap really soon, so you have until April 30th to enter. That way the soaps will be cured and ready to use. One entry per person. If you prefer not to leave a comment you may also email your comment to brittanylane@hotmail.com. Good Luck!

(And seeing as how no one reads blogs anymore [Thank you, Facebook], and I have about 6 loyal followers, you probably have a really good chance of winning too.)

hmmmm, out of 500 posts I can't pick a fave. I do love bug season and Ellorie's love of them :) I love when Mason has his crazy imagination adventures.. and when Averie gets herself into trouble, oooh all the cute pictures of Rylan. I also really enjoy your little crafty obsessions. I love your blog!
ps-cute seedlings, yay Rylan!!

I know - I think blogging is WAY better then facebook, but few people agree with me. I actually like how you posted pictures of Brandon's hamburger because you thought it was gross - I wouldn't have eaten it either, but it just struck me as funny!
I can't believe Rylan is big enough to roll over!

Brittany -
I cannot believe Rylan is rolling over already! It looks like he is going to be running like Mason at 10 months!
What is this about a new haircut? I cannot wait to see it.
How can a person pick a favorite?
The one that sticks out the most is Brandon making cookies with the kids.

Congrats to Rylan! I love all of the different felt things you made and that playhouse for Averie. I told Heather that we should start making soap, but she wasn't too thrilled.

I like your new haircut too, Britt! Looks great. Sounds like you guys have been having fun...poor Brandon...yay for only two weeks left of tax season!! My favorite part of your blog are the quotes on the side. As for a favorite post...um...unfortunately for you I really enjoy seeing all the destruction that Avervie creates. Hehe. I also really like to see your recipes and crafts that you do. All your kids are very entertaining and I love your blog!

Rylan is so adorable and I can't believe he is rolling over already. I like blogging much better than facebook and enjoy reading your blog. I am not very good at commenting though. I am very impressed that you have that many blog entries. I don't think I can pick a favorite blog but I do remember the blog about the styrofoam peanuts all over the house and it made me laugh but I felt so bad for you. I love all you recipes and crafts and you are one talented woman.

Brittany you are superwoman! Seriously I have no idea how you do it. My favorite blogs have been your felt creations. I wish I had one ounce of your talent. Thanks for posting your egg roll recipe I have been craving them ever since New Years!! Lets get together soon!! Hooray for the end of tax season!

I can't believe Rylan is rolling over already!!! Logan didn't until he was about 4ish months old. It's really my fault. I give him as little tummy time as possible. No need to hurry his mobility along, right?

Hey Brit! Love the hair too! Hope all is well with you, I just love reading your blogs. You are so motivating and creative. I have loved all of your posts and it is really hard to just choose one, but the one that sticks out most are the felt projects that you made! I just loved them! I also love all of the yummy recipes you try and post about! I could go on and on! You are amazing! Take care!

Brittany,
I just love your blog!! My favorites are probably the videos of the kids, like Mason's school program. It helps melt the miles a little bit, especially with how fast kids grow! We'll just have one kid at home soon - crazy! Take care & keep blogging! Luv, Korene

I love your blog. 500 posts is quite a milestone! Keep it up!

I enjoy all the cooking, arts/crafts, and kid posts. However, I have to say that any Averie mess-making story really catches my attention. I love, laugh, and cringe at the times when she a) ruined the table with permanent marker, b) colored a lightening bolt on Rocket, c) peeled all the clementines but didn't eat any, and d) dumped the shampoo in her hair. She is quite the lil' Miss mischevious handful.

Congratulations on being such a great blogger! I am always amazed at how many projects you have going at once and how beautiful they all turn out! I LOVED seeing your massive garden grow last year and we (the boys love lookig at your blog with me) are so exctied to see how it turns out this year! You are so good at updating your blog...you really are super mom! We miss you here in Utah, Cole talks about you all of the time. He has taken a year off from art this year...we have had a very difficult time finding a teacher that he really loves!

I love reading your blog and have several favorite posts, but the one that comes to mind is when Averie took permanent marker to your dining room table. It makes me glad that I am not the only one with a toddler that loves to create messes. We also had a recent issue with pen on the table, but fortunately I was able to get it off.

By far the post that stands out the most is the felt projects you did for Christmas! I can not even tell you how many people I have shown them to, and everyone was very impressed! If only I had the time or patience that you have to accomplish so many things in one day! Thanks for being such a great example of using your time managment and all your creativity!

Wonderful Swirl Soap! I had the soap bug a few years ago too. It was great. Add Shea Butter to some, you will not regret it!

Keep up the crafting!

I love all of your posts too. But I love the one about the packing peanuts everywhere. that one still makes me laugh and keeps me sane when we have a day like that around here.
I have been biding my time to hopefully be one of the last one's to enter...i think near the end is a lucky place to be. Crossing my fingers for a chocolate raspberry!!

I am leaving a post because hopefully I will be lucky enough to win the prize. I am a faithful follower of your blog. I enjoying reading all about your family but probably my favorite post or posts are about your soap making experiences. I would love to learn how to make some soap!
